I have had the honor of being with Justin and Ashlie when they first met and started dating years ago.  We all worked together at the YMCA Day camp during the summer and by the end of the summer, these guys were an item.  Soon after that I was shooting their engagements, then her maternity pictures…and now the whole family!  This little guy was super sweet and had the most photogenic brown eyes ever!  It’s good to see a fellow brown eyed kid making the rest of us look good!

Due to a good photographer friend (and good regular friend) getting in a bad sledding incident this past Winter, I had the opportunity to take some of her clients while she was healing up.  One of those clients happens to be the adorable little Lola.  Lola was as sweet as she was adorable, and that’s saying a lot!

This photogenic couple were fun to shoot and hang out with. Having met them years ago in high school, it was a pleasure to see them again. We chose downtown Lincolnton as the backdrop to their engagement photos because they both grew up in the area.  Although they have been together for years, they flirted and teased each other throughout the shoot, making everything light and natural.

Whenever these guys are in town to see family, we try to get some shots in before they head back.  This past Christmas I caught them on their way back home and took some pictures since Lincoln has grown up quite a bit since our last session.  It just happened to be the coldest day of the year so far, but these guys toughed it out like champs and we got some great shots of the 3 of them!

I’ve learned a few things in my years of photographing people.  One of those things is that if someone tells you that they might be awkward in front of the camera, they are actually going to be a natural.  A good example of this would be Charlee and David.  They proved themselves wrong right away even though the show might have been stolen by their adorable pup named Bronx.  Bronx, of course, knew he could strike a pose like a pro.
