Just to clear any confusion before we get started with this, I feel like I should add a quote from the first message Laura sent me about taking these pictures.
“There is one important thing I should mention. The main reason I’m having these pictures done is because I want a few pictures of Levi in my grandmothers chair and dress. Yes, I said dress :). He was named after Mammie and I had my picture made in the dress as a toddler (so did Zach, haha) so for traditions sake and the fact he is named after her, I want his picture in the chair/dress.”
So of course I loved the idea and thought it was funny/cute.
With that being said, this is the family you want in front of your camera; instead of telling Levi to say cheese, they engaged with him and played with him as if there was no camera and no pressure for him to perform. He was already teething which never helps any situation, but they did such a wonderful job of interacting with each other and had no sign of awkwardness in front of the camera. It was organic and natural and I feel like it really shows through the lens.
